In Africa and Europe a wide range of civil society activists, organisations, and networks active in migration and refugee affairs exists. But the links between civil society and parliamentary work are mostly sporadic. We aim for the establishment of a network of civil society activists and politicians, for a continuous exchange of information and for improved cooperation on parliamentary initiatives in order to improve the situation of migrants and the freedom of movement of people.

We want to base our discussions on practicality, aiming for concrete suggestions to improve freedom of movement and the lives of migrants, taking into account the implications of migration for countries of origin, transit and destination.
